Janamashtami was celebrated at pragyan school, greater noida.

A special programme was organized on 8 th August 2009 .This includes a colourful cultulral extravaganza focusing on the life and philosophy of Lord Krishna.

We were honoured to have the company of our esteemed first ex-C.E.O.of Greater noida authority –Mr-Brijesh kumar.The function was felicitated by the parents who bestowed their choicest blessings on the children. The guests were welcomed by Jhanvi and Tanishq of K.G.B and Aahan of pre-nursery.

The celebrations of the day started with children of Nursery and K.G. singing to the melodious tune of the song ‘Kabhi Ram Banke'. This was followed by a dance ‘Wo Kisna Hai' by the students of Nursery and K.G. in which they depicted Krishna as the messiah of universal love and brotherhood. Our guests in the multi purpose hall clapped to the tune of the song ‘Yashomati Maiya Se'.

The tiny-tots of the pragyan family presented a spell bound toe-tapping number-‘Rat Shyam Sapno Me Aayo' depicting Kisna being adored by all.

No Janamashtami celebration can be complete without reaching out for the butter by breaking the matki so the energetic students of class k.g. demonstrated a collective team work to accomplish this aspect of the event. The children were constantly encouraged with a thunderous applause. It was surely a colourful function to remember.

Speaking on the occasion Vice Principal Mrs Anuradha Chopra wished the gathering and exhorted the students to look beyond the mere festivities and be inspired by the teachings of Gita.Our chief guest Mr Brijesh Kumar was bowled over by the performance of our tiny tots.
The day's celebration ended with vote of thanks Aahan of Pre- nursery And Kanishka of Nursery B.
